Speaking of Insanity

Ralph Nader wants to do the time warp again, back to Election 2000. He's challenging election results in many places, some of which were called for Kerry.

The right to challenge results is important, as we've all seen, and I don't mean it should be removed. But there should be some standard to ensure that there is a decent statistical chance of reversing the results, otherwise the sole member of the Wingnut Party of Middle Edgartown could force a national recount because he thinks absentee ballots were stolen by Borg invaders. If it won't make a difference in the results, give it up. Particularly because recounts ain't cheap. The 2000 recount cost $250,000 in Palm Beach County alone.
